I just finished book #8 out of my "10 books by the end of summer" goal. This was a biography of William Wilberforce, mainly focusing on his efforts to abolish the slave trade. It wasn't nearly as interesting towards the end but I really enjoyed reading about this man. It was very inspirational. It makes me want to go watch the movie again!
Besides finding out more information about how abolishing the slave trade was brought about, it also covered a lot about how the religion of "Methodism" came about. I had no idea there had been a spiritual movement in the late 1700's that swept as far as America and contributed to the spiritual revival there. (Thus, making the way for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be restored.)
